If you don’t know me yet, my name is Ana. I live in Lima, Peru and one of my favorite hobbies is to ride bicycles. I used to race in MTB as well as BMX competitions. Thus, I decided to monetize this hobby offering my services on a bike:

Cycling in Lima

This summer I'm turning back to sports. Despite of many bad experiences I left them a long time. Now I restart my summer cycling, running, swimming and playing basketball (my first game of the year is this wednesday). I'm also looking for boxing academies so I promise to take photos when I find one. But this post is about cycling . From my experience I think the safe route and the more panoramic view is going over the sea by the Costa Verde or by the waterfront until chorrillos, exactely stopping in Agua Dulce and turning back because the place is kind of dangerous (too much traffic and bad-faces people). Although is ok if you are in group. In this route you will see the amazing sundown, the beach, the Maria Reiche park wich is like a hidden treassure and many people making sports so you won't feel alone. I took some photos of the skate park in San Isidro but I just could rescue one =( . There's also a circuit for bikes. Next time I'll take photos of the park and the sunset. I'll show you in my next post.

Santos Dumont Park - When a simplest thing is just beautiful

Today I went to eat at the Blue Moon. After that I walked in a place I'd like to live, Lince. This is located in Cesar Vallejo Avenue. Starting by that I love Vallejo's poetry. Beside that there's two beautiful and large parks. Since my point of view one is specially designed for running and the other for family or couples enterteinment. In this post I'm going to tell you about one of the parks called in spanish Parque Santos Dumont, in the next post I'll talk about the running park. I know the pictures talk themselves then you will agree with me in the point this park is just amazing. I've never been in the United States so I can imagine an american native reading my blog can think it's not something to be surprised or maybe agree with me, I just don't know and don't care at all =P . In Lima close to my house there'are not so many parks as magical as this, I've never seen parks like this in Miraflores or San Isidro, and the nice parks ove there have the flower or candy's sellers I hate (they always interrupt). Thus, I never see this park so crowded, at the afternoon the lake can turn very romantic, there're a mini-gym outdoor and a playground for children and adults. It looks like a country club and the best of all a lot of things are free or very cheap. I take many photos this time and hope you enjoy this park as much as me. I wonder how simplest thing as walking may turn into a moment to remember.

Parque de la Amistad (the friendship park)

I heard a lot of the Parque de la Amistad (friendship park) things like it offers a trip over the park on train, it has a lake, it has pisco sour stands, it has games for children and those little boats to go over the lake. I also passed over there once and I saw it had a beautiful architecture like a fantasy palace at night. Then, one day I decided to go with my family and yeah! it was memorable. But please don't get confused by the name, is not called friendship park because you can make friends in the park, it's just a name (sorry to dissapoint you). The park is cool to walk in family as well as hanging out friends or your fiance(at nigth can turn very romantic). You can taste delicious pisco sours and other coctels based on pisco from many vineyards of Peru and there are many delicious dishes to eat, specially grilled meat and sausages. It's a place I strongly recommend to visit in Lima. The place outside is very safe.
