Depeche Order - 80's Club

The last saturday, I went to a place I didn't know. In fact I wouldn't go if my friend wouldn't ask me to go because the club is located in El Polo Shopping Center - Surco which is known as an expensive town. To enter you have to pay 50 soles, we paid 30 soles per person because we were only girls. It was funny because at the door there were some promoters from Durex condoms and gave us 3 condoms to each one, but I was the only one with a purse so I save all the condoms on it. At the entrance the guard was checking everybody, so he asked me to check my purse and surprise!! He burst out laughing, so did I .The drinks cost beetween 25 soles or more, a personal beer only 10 soles. The place was full of girls, most places I go are plenty of girls, is there a lack of men in Lima or there are more becoming gays everyday?. Well, my health is improving, I tried 2 beers and I didn't feel ache =) . I turned on a cigarette but when I was smoking an annoying barman pushed me on to turn it off since it was prohibited to smoke inside. How the hell I was gonna know if there wasn't a fucking letter...or maybe I didn't want to look ;-)  Finally, we got happy: I danced alone, with my friends, with a chair, with my hair dried and then all wet and yes the few men started to get closer and closer, notbody was handsome not even cool. For example, there were 2 assholes who start dancing very close to my friend and I but they dind't talk to us. It looks like they were waiting that we do flirt with them. Then there was another asshole that was alone, who moved next to us on the bar but he didn't say anything, he just stayed for a while and then quit. But there was one that was hot, I don't know if he was going straight to me but I just got so nervous that I couldn't do visual contact with him. So, he walked next to me and went to the bathroom. It made me think how important is to flirt as a winner in club, only losers can be frightened. Is not that I think I'm a loser but it can be the impression we give. For the example the 3 assholes I mentioned before. Ah! I almost forgot the music is mostly 80's, rock and some latin (non fashion latin).

Night Tour at Miraflores

Yesterday, I met with my friend Mónica to go for some drinks. She was upset because the guy she liked didn't show interest on her. As a matter of fact that man is a very stupid one. Then she told she wanted revanche. We went to Kennedy Park and we met there with Anselmo, another friend. I whish they get alone very well, but it ended up as all the opposite. I found in a seat a 50 soles bill and to celebrate my luck we agreed to go to the Pub Inglés, a bar that Mónica chose. Our surprise was big when we saw a lot of VERY old men like in their 60 -70's, the majority had an enterpreneur or high executive look and they were flirting with young girls, most in their mid twenties!!. Anselmo said they were horks, but those girls didn't look horks to me, they dressed very decent. My friend Mónica told me that she chose that place because a friend of her recommended it, so maybe in another day of the week it is cool. We get bored on that bar and we decided to go to another Mónica's point, then we went to La Bohème in Ovalo Gutierrez, an exclusive restaurant in the first floor and a pub in the second floor. I didn't know about that bar existed and I touhght for myself how fine Mónica is. Our surprise was big again, the people didn't look like criminal but they absolutely weren't from Miraflores, they looked as nothing special  except for Anselmo that found a girl he liked and that girl was corresponding to him. Then Mónica and I decided to go to another place and Anselmo stayed in La Bohème with his girl. We went to Mama Batata in Larcomar, a place where it's common to find foreign people, but the best of all is that the entrance is free (I hate to pay that), that saturday there were few foreign people, and the few of them were rounded of girls, the boys who just came in were catched inmediately by other girls. I'm not good at flirting, my friend is kind of serious so we were just looking and cualifying boys, in that activity we met another 2 girl friends, very cool and pretty, the 2 of them were alone because her friends disappeared with some guys. I specially liked one of them, she told us she even go alone to the bar if she doesn't have a girl friend to hang out, she was sexy, pretty and had too much attitude. We agreed to stay in touch and we exchanged numbers. It was another surprise for me because what we were looking for was to exchange numbers with men haha. It was a night full of surprises!!! After a while, I went to the toilet and when I returned Mónica were dancing with a boy, then she came out the place to drink with him, the sexy new friend was dancing with another man that works as personal trainner, he gave his card after. The another girl found her friend and said good bye to me. It was kind of funny and frustrating as the same time, I was totally alone. I didn't like nobody who were alone too, besides I had to wait for my friend and I was happy she finally could consume her revanche.Then I felt forced to interrupt my new friend who was kissing the boy in that moment, I told her I ended up alone and they invited me to dance with them in a group of three, in that moment she gave me her number and he gave me his card, until my friend returned to go home.

Ayahuasca - Pisco Bar

On of my favorite places in Barranco is Ayahuasca, a bar that has a wide variety of drinks based on pisco (pisco =peruvian liquor). I also like the place because the atmosphere, it's always so full of people and energy. The entrance wich is componed by the balcony and stairs is made of wood. The time I was there with an italian friend he made me realize how much we are careless about we peruvians have. For example, I was smoking my cigarette and he ask me to be carefull about the wood, I notice he apreciated too much the balcony, then he told he didn't have places in his town decorated so beautiful with wood because in Italia they don't have much wood. I recommend you to go to Ayahuasca in Barranco to have a nice talk and enjoy the nightlife in Barranco as you drink your special pisco coctel. They do not prepare the typical pisco sour, the have a lot of sours mixing peruvian fruits with piscco. But for the non-pisco-lovers they also sell another drinks. Hope you like the drinks as much as I love them =) . They also sell some food if you feel hungry and that food is perfect to pair with their pisco coctails.

La Calesa

A famous bar located at San Isidro named La Calesa called my attention some time ago. However I went for the first time (and maybe the last time) yesterday night. The place looks warm, plainly decorated and andean-house style inside, the music is in very very low volume and the barman doesn't look happy (they are very serious men). Maybe the place can fit good for people in their 40´s but I expected something different. Then I remember the article I read about thei pisco sour, they said La Calesa makes the best pisco sour but as a pisco drinker, specially pisco sour drinker, their pisco sour sucks. I can prepare it much better and I'm not a bartender. Then I asked for a wine glass and guess what they only sell wine in bottles, then I had to order this time a maracuya sour (passion fruit sour) and bingo!!  it could be the best I've ever tasted. I have to admit something I was irresponsible with my health, I can't drink because of my liver ache but I did and then I had to vomit everything. That's how I met the bathroom and was ok but it's just for one person. I'm glad I didn't have any witness but I really hate to make a line to use the bathroom.I forgot some details: when we arrived nobody open us the door, happily my friend knew the bar and open the door hisself. It must be very elitist, but for me is bullshit. Even when I saw Gaston Acurio drinking there. Don't you know Gastón Acurio? He's a famous international chef who has many sucessfull restaurants in Peru and abroad.
